Poached Pears

The brunch ran from around 1:30 to 5:30. I chopped up the last of the poached pears and put them on to warm. Made an old waffle recipe from Better Homes & Gardens. Plugged in my grandmother's waffle iron, which didn't heat...
Had
mizzlaurajean and
davidschroth bring their waffle iron and milk over. They also brought cream and bacon. I think I remembered to send the cream home with them, but forgot the bacon. (I found the red light shield for the iron...)
I cooked bacon, and we made waffles. Laura Jean & I had bloody marys. I also toasted off a bunch of pecans, but I didn't whip up the cream. All in all, it was a great afternoon.
gerisullivan went off to stay at

Neither of which I can figure out how to use.
Want one?
One is Teflon the other isn't.
Sure!

I'll talk to the postmistress tomorrow and get an idea what shipping is going to cost. I double that short of dropping this thing out of a two-story building it can actually be damaged.
