This is the electric kind (well, actually, they both are). The Teflon one claims to be specifically for Belgium waffles, but the large non-Teflon one actually has the manual with it. They both heat up fine. I just couldn't get the hang of it. I'll talk to the postmistress tomorrow and get an idea what shipping is going to cost. I double that short of dropping this thing out of a two-story building it can actually be damaged.
