lsandersonPhishing — I just got a very realistic PayPal email with a poorly written receipt for a sizeable amount which could be real or could be designed to cause panic and have me click the available links — which you should never ever do. I could find nothing about it when I opened PayPal in a separate browser. I did notice that PayPal has changed their foreign currency options.

Date: 2024-08-21 07:07 am (UTC)An English guy I follow on LiveJournal posted that his Mac had been infected after clicking on a Facebook picture and that the technician from the message had been very nice and helpful for only 50 pounds. (I've seen that phishing photo myself.) I got to do the 'You've been phished' post and he may have gotten his 50 pounds back.
