Stribune, bye bye
Aug. 9th, 2004 09:28 amStill my sister's birthday
When I got to the Stribune today and saw that the front page headline was the religious revival meeting the Stribune and out state government (including our abysmal Secretary of State) pulled off on the capitol grounds this weekend, I called up and canceled my subscription.
I got pissed when they refused to run the Gay Pride ad with two men kissing, but I didn't call to cancel. Put the two together, and it's past time.

Date: 2004-08-10 03:06 pm (UTC)As for the state government, J says that the government can't refuse the use of the grounds, on the same terms that they allow it to other groups, to a religious group. Of course, they must allow the use of the grounds equally to all religious groups; they can't pick and choose.
Yess
