We have been enjoying rye in this household - I like it mixed with ginger-ale/ginger beer, but Dr. Nick likes it straight up.

Dr. Nick's friend Clay Risen wrote a book about American whiskeys & bourbons, which is pretty much been his guide in putting together a collection at home.

I've been a fan of rye for decades, long before Mad Men or the 'cocktail revolution'. I find the sweetness of bourbon to be off putting, though I am slowly becoming accustomed to it, in the right context. But Sazeracs, yum!
