Yesterday, I got in my little car after taking the top off and putting it in the trunk, and started off for the lumber yard. I made it up to the corner of Lyndale and 26th before I decided to go to Menards instead. I got there and wandered all over the store, buying mostly lightbulbs, not finding Velcro, and purchasing three GFI outlets. Then I wandered across on 100 to see if the bathroom vanity was in at Pinecraft, where a temporary, but quite cute guy was manning the store. He, while cute, also could not help me about the status of the vanity. Since I was getting close to Methodist, I thought I'd stop and see if David was awake...

When got up to David's room, Sharon and Karen were already there. They left around 2:30, and I stayed until close to 3:00. I finally showered, and ran off to meet Karen again at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to see the crop art. Bunches of MNSTFers showed up, and we wandered around in the crop art until close to closing (5:00) and spent a bit of time in the store. Then they wandered off to the MNSTF meeting, and I wandered off home.

Shortly before seven, I ran downtown to see the Purple Rain/CentralFilmFestival fund raiser at 1st Avenue. snark-on I was on the Guest List snark-off. They had a big portable 35mm projector set up in front of the center bar. There was quite a bit of this and that going on, including extras from the DVD which is going to be released Tuesday (I think that's the day...). The crowd hooted and hollered each time the name of the now fired manager was mentioned. It was fun to watch a movie that was centered on the club in the club. They handed out an actual phono record afterwards... Clutching it, I wandered off in search of a cash machine since I'd had a few drinks whilst watching the movie, and I was not sure how much parking would cost. (($3.50) Then I wandered home.

Eek!

Today's allergy levels for MINNEAPOLIS, MN:
High (9.8 on a scale of 0-12)

Today's predominant pollen:
Ragweed, Nettle and Chenopods.

The amount of pollen in the air for Monday will be falling but will remain in the high range. This relief in pollen levels is caused in part by rising humidity, weakening winds and expected precipitation in the evening which tends to wash pollen out of the air. With this amount of reduction in pollen levels, tomorrow should be better for allergy sufferers.

The pollen hit me yesterday while I was driving around (with the top down, of course) and immediately after I left First Avenue. I ran back to the house, put the top (wisely since it rained) back on the car, and ran inside to electronically cleaned air... except that I hafta run the pesky filter through the dishwasher and shut all the windows...
