Yesterday seems so far away...
Aug. 23rd, 2004 08:58 amYesterday, after reading the Sunday New York Times (no Stribune), and mowing the grass in the back yard, I ran out to HOM after hearing about their "Tent Sale" on TV. The tent was a bust, although I found a few things inside that looked as if they'd work for upstairs. I think I'm going for a futon, chairs, a table of some sort, maybe the kitchen table and replace that with a gate leg table, and not much more than that. Maybe a bunch of folding chairs from Targetto or IKEA.
Must have mower engine tuned or throw it away.
Got groceries at Cub on the way back from HOM, Best Buy, and PetsMart. I looked at TVs again at Best Buy, notebooks, wireless gadgets to get my computer music down to the stereo, camcorders, microwaves, and air conditioners (which are on clearance).
Ate shortly after I got home from Cub, and didn't get much accomplished afterwards.
Reading the papers this morning (Times and Stribune), I'm starting to think that Kerry is letting Bush and his surrogates control the election. They're letting them set the agenda on Kerry's war record, when the really important items are elsewhere, or that when it comes to war records, Bush and Cheney ain't got one. If war records wuz penises, Bush and Cheney ain't got none. But, does Kerry point this out? No, he's entering the pissing contest instead.
Election judge training starts today here in Mpls.
