Nov. 26th, 2003 05:57 amYesterday morning I paid estate bills. Additional funeral expenses over the amount prepaid by my aunt, the health aide company for 19 days of 24-hour aides, and a bill from a medical supply company for equipment. I shipped the last few memorial checks off to their respective homes.
Meanwhile, I told the ALS Association that I'd write them a short paragraph testimonial. I'm not doing great on that. Both a bit because I didn't get involved in the finances and because I'm still too close to the events, but I hope to get it done this weekend.
I sent off to the Einblatt an ad for my usual Hair-of-the-Dog Party on Jan 1, 2004. Then I looked at the calendar and thought, "Fuck, I should travel." Does not look as if I will be. I suppose Laura might attempt to cause harm if I missed the MNSTF New Year's Eve party...
I have a heap of antiquated software that is going out of the house Thursday night after we return from Bismarck. Stacks of Microsoft C++ manuals, Foxpro, Microsoft Office, Visual Basic 1 & 3. WinFax, Procomm -- anybody remember modems?
I've cleaned a space on my desk and now have the autographed Vin Diesel picture there along with the picture of my mother. The desktop below is still a minor disaster area...
