Went to the CONvergence programming meeting yesterday at the Radish. Lottsa people interested in programming, and a great brainstorming session. Although, as traditional, I was very quiet.

Earlier, I ran to Rosedale and checked out some shops, including a newly remodeled CompUSA. It appears TVs and home electronics are the new mantra for computer stores. I think this has been tried before, but probably not with the profit that a large plasma monitor can throw. I keep looking for a perfect photo printer. They had both the large format Canon and the large format Epson. I'm still concerned about the ink clogging up because I won't be using it that much. Maybe I should just wait and buy a laser. The new Samsung includes a duplexer, and as I just told Bohemian Coast, I bow to that ghod. It's just that the laser's resolution sucks compared to the new ink jets. Still, the POS Lexmark that I have takes me an hour or new cartridges every time.

I stopped at Techline. I've decided that one of the ways to organize my office is to make the desktop bigger -- then I can collect more junk on it. They have some pieces in the basement that I'm going to measure and see if fit. I guess a new sheet of plywood would be much cheaper....

Then off to the aforementioned programming meeting. From there, I ran to Desq in Edina and hit it just as it closed. Ran to Best Buy and picked up some banana plugs for an absolutely ridiculous price and proceeded to bounce off the Crosstown which was packed with cars. (My second run-in with traffic -- somebody decided to have an accident on the 35W bridge over the Mississippi when I was coming back from Rosedale.

I never did get the box of manila envelopes that I wanted. Guess I have to do that today. Laura Jean and I are supposed to work on Minicon sometime today. I also have to proof some manuals that I dragged home from work. Thong's already built a fire. It looks as if I'll need to shovel the sidewalks and/or buy some salt. Not enough snow to drag out the blower -- yet.

Still waiting for the New York Times to arrive.

Hmm

I shift, sort, and then start sneezing... It reminds me why I hate to dust.
