Dec. 22nd, 2002 11:56 pmJerry's birthday.
Two of my distant cousins, my father's mother's mother's brother's granddaughters (I think), one from Bismarck (Lois) and one from Minneapolis were coming. The one from Bismarck is always great fun to talk with. My aunt's house is well stocked with cookies, so we had a quite fine scandinavian coffee. Lois's son showed up to whisk them away at some point, but stayed for cookies and talked for a bit.
My aunt gave each of them a tea cup and saucer of her mother's. A small symbol of the cleaning out of the townhouse yet to come.
My aunt had ticket's to the Rockette's tonight. And I insisted that she go. I took her out the back in a wheelchair at about 6:30 and helped her get into her car. I did the same around 10:30 when they arrived back. Should have dashed out to the carolling party at Richard and Sharons, but sat around instead just waiting for the performance to end.
She wants my sister and I to do a quick tour of nursing homes.
