Dec. 14th, 2002 08:53 amMy aunt's friend has been staying there for a few days. I'm not cooking breakfast. Instead, I ran out to General Nanosystems and picked up a DIMM for the RAID 5 IDE controller I ordered. I finally ordered it from another company, now that the serial IDE RAID controllers are starting to trickle on the market. It would sure be sweet if the controller and the drives arrived on the same day!
I pulled the refrigerator away from the wall to change the valves and the ice maker. I'd just brought a bunch of wrenches and and other tools up when I got a call from my aunt's friend around 1:00 that she was stuck in the bathroom. I ran out and moved her back to the chair with the wheelchair.
I spent the rest of the day there, and we watched the last half of Gone with the Wind. Then we sorted through gift boxes, ribbons, and wrapping paper. Cooked some sausage, garlic mashed potatoes, and broad beans for dinner. Helped my aunt into bed around 10:30. It was eleven or so when I got home.
