Isn't this like a long day or is it just me?

Got my bike shorts on last night, but not sure I can give myself a ribbon, although they are blue. Never made it out the door.

Discovered that the canister filter in the basement isn't pumping water. It looks as if one part has been broken for a long time and that the impeller is going too. Can't find parts for it so far, even on the Internet. That initiated my missed bike ride. I was still sitting here as the sun went down in the west. While looking for parts, I was looking at a new canister filter, but they're just kind of expensive.

Movies in today's NY Times:

Minority Report, Sunshine State from John Sayles (with that hot Marc Blucas), which Steven Holden really liked, Lilo and Stitch, and yet again, a movie about a hustler, Mr. Smith Gets a Hustler, and even a docudrama about Jeffrey, Dahmer.
