Good things in today's NY Times:

The troubling trend for gay bookstores, or the downside of the mainstream.

Gay memoir, if you can call it that, when you retire from the club circuit...

Ferns, gardening and dining.

As I bragged in yesterday's LiveJournal, I got the last registration packets out yesterday for those who joined but did not attend Minicon 37 (you know who you are).

Also attempting to reserve a shelter at Minnihaha Park on August 10 for a picnic. Hmm, that's the day after my sister's birthday... Don't think the fax went through yet.

Starts at the Lagoon Friday:

CQ - Lagoon Cinema
Paris, 1969: A young American documentarian (Jeremy Davies) is hired to finish a sci-fi movie set in the distant year 2000. Supporting cast includes Gérard Depardieu, Élodie Bouchez, Giancarlo Giannini, Billy Zane, John Phillip Law and Dean Stockwell. Directed by Roman Coppola. 91 minutes. Rated R for some nudity and language. In Dolby Digital Stereo. Shows at the Lagoon daily at 2:40, 5:10, 7:40 and 10:00.
