It's hard to picture the Amadeus looking good with green walls.

It's got green...

Although obviously not as much as the Verde Butterfly.

Light maple floors
Light maple cabinets
Dark Forest Green walls
Stainless Steel appliances
Probably SS bow pulls

You don't have a bad choice here; either one looks like it will be stunning. The variation is Amadeus totally slays me. I just want to look at it all day. I also think it will be less likely to show water spots and such. Verde Butterfly is so dark that I think it will show little things like dried water rings from the condensation off a glass of water that sat on the counter for a few moments. Those same rings wouldn't be so obvious on Amadeus.

(You might want to test this hypothesis on a sample if you have the opportunity. I could easily be wrong; it's just a gut-level feeling from what I've seen on other dark counters.)

Si!

I think I've finally figured out my attraction to Amadeus -- it's firmly in the Impressionist palette.

It is -- and it's beautiful. I prefer it *in general* to the Verde Butterfly. But I'm with [livejournal.com profile] mizzlaurajean: the Amadeus just doesn't seem like a good match with the green walls.

But, but, but... It doesn't look like Formica... ;-)

I think that's the second thing I like about it.

The Verde Butterfly has an overall uniformity. The Amadeus does not. On the other hand, today I found something similar to the Amadeus, Blue Fantasy...
