You don't have a bad choice here; either one looks like it will be stunning. The variation is Amadeus totally slays me. I just want to look at it all day. I also think it will be less likely to show water spots and such. Verde Butterfly is so dark that I think it will show little things like dried water rings from the condensation off a glass of water that sat on the counter for a few moments. Those same rings wouldn't be so obvious on Amadeus.
(You might want to test this hypothesis on a sample if you have the opportunity. I could easily be wrong; it's just a gut-level feeling from what I've seen on other dark counters.)
It is -- and it's beautiful. I prefer it *in general* to the Verde Butterfly. But I'm with mizzlaurajean: the Amadeus just doesn't seem like a good match with the green walls.

I think that's the second thing I like about it.
The Verde Butterfly has an overall uniformity. The Amadeus does not. On the other hand, today I found something similar to the Amadeus, Blue Fantasy...
