I know, isn't that wild?

I gather that rosemary was mostly used medicinally and decoratively until rather later than the date of this cookbook.

Tres cool. Not stuff I'd normally be interested in cooking, mind you, but cool. I was intrigued by the recipes for stuffed eggs (which we normally think of as a savory, not a sweet) and for "fine cakes" (which seem a sort of spiced cookie with dried fruits).

Thank you for the link. :-) Mike and I looked at some of the recipes while we ate a very not-medieval dinner.
