I spent a long time trying to take streets home. I bounced off Crosstown on Nicollet and ran west to Lyndale, the detour route. Unfortunately, there was a crash and the detour was a parking lot, with me in the wrong lane to catch the Crosstown and 35W home. After I cleared the crash, Lyndale opened up.

So today there wuz warnings about closing 35W. They must be putting in the new bridge or else "Hard working" Carol Molnau is trying to see just how many locals she can piss off.

They're closing 62 too, for the whole weekend. 'Cause ya hafta have something to look forward to, doncha?

Since they took out the Diamond Lake bridge, our route onto the freeway has been via the 50th st. bridge, then north to 46th. So, of course they're removing the 50th st. bridge this weekend. And adding lanes to the freeway over the creek, which will screw my neighborhood in ways we can't even fathom yet.

Thank ghu we're missing it.

They should work on maintaining the bridges they got.... There's one approach that looks as if it will dead end at an apartment complex...

In Munchen, most freeways in the city ustta be underground. They just didn't cotton to this "Chop up the neighborhood here" idea.
