Exactly. I've always felt something was wrong when athletes, actors, ceos, etc. received millions of dollars and teachers got squat. Who is more important, the person shaping your life and your childrens' lives, or..the ballplayer/actor?

Well, if they'll have sex with me... uhm, err, but we just raped the reserves, cut education funding, screwed over the next legislative session with blossoming debt, but we can give baseball millions. Time for some new idiots in the house.

Its things like this--as well as reading all about how the pResident is apparently gearing up for nuclear armaggedon--that make me a CYNIC. Things will never never change. I sometimes think I'll be lucky if I'm still alive and living out of a prisoncamp by the time I'm 90.

It's been worse in the last hundred years; there's always that to cheer you up.

Oh, and I forgot to add that Jessie Helms decided it was time to do something about AIDS overseas -- not domestic, mind you, because that's caused by a homosexual lifestyle choice, but overseas it apparently isn't, so it's fine to fund it. Just another cheerful tidbit.

on a slightly more cheerful note, rod grams apparently isn't running for reelection. woot!

any idea on where to find the info on who in the senate voted which way for the one that they passed? i am feeling a need to write some people some very cranky letters.

It should be in the Senate Journal. http://www.senate.leg.state.mn.us/journals/
Trouble is, they use Adobe Acrobat, which I find mildly painful to use.
