Hey, the cities is a Prairie Home kinda town. I'm not saying it lacks culture, but it never seemed willing to spend the bucks (as several of the people interviewed in the article said).
I knew Steve Brown when he was just starting out at JD Hoyts (is that right?) downtown. I recall that his name was featured when The Local opened, and that we ate once at whatever his very next restaurant was. I lost track of him from that point and never even knew he was at Levain, and now I've missed that chance.
