Not your usual frilly fantasy...

I went to see Pan's Labyrinth last night at the Edina Theater. It's a dark fantasy, meant for grown ups. It's told as a flash back, with faeries, a faun, a mysterious kingdom, mandrake roots, and lots of bad people, and a few good ones thrown in the leavening. Guillermo Del Toro wrote, directed and produced the movie. There's a bit of Cronos still in there, and lottsa myths flying around that don't quite land. I'd recommend it highly.

I saw the trailers for this about a month ago and have been waiting for its release! Yay! Was the showing last night a preview or an extended run?
