''I was really hoping to know what it was like to be in a majority here
in Washington D.C.,'' said Rep.-elect Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.

Ahhhh... and you never will, Michelle.

Just keep speaking out loud occasionally, and you'll gurantee a victory for whoever runs against your crazy ass in two years.

Nonsense.
They had a perfectly fine alternative to her in Patty Wetterling but they voted for her anyway.
They are obviously so stupid they will reelect her.

Wetterling was very good on all the issues, but she was absolutely terrible in the debates. She came across as if she didn't know very much about issues other than child safety, and as if she was too inexperienced for the job. It wasn't true, but her campaign did NOT do a good job of presenting her as savvy or knowledgeable, even though she is.
Patty also has this weird thing where she's always polite and she treats differing opinions with respect. Unfortunately, that's not well suited for confrontations with crazy people.
As a volunteer, my general impression of the district was "Well, they're both goofballs, so I'm voting Republican like I did last time."

Don't say much for the intelligence of the constituents.
Anyone who had seen that shot of Bachmann cowering in the bushes at the gay rally should have known better no matter WHAT the debates sounded like.
But hey, they are stuck with the "Homophobic, racist Anti-public transit, pro Iraq label for the next few years.
I wish them luck, but I'll insult them whenever I get the chance.

I believe if she throws a cocktail party for freshmen Republican members of the 110th congress no one will show up.

Excuse me, I just put these pants on and I don't want to pee them.

She was really living in a fantasy world, wasn't she? Did she somehow not know that she would never be in a majority in the 90% Democratic DC?

All she has to do is change parties.

I hope very strongly that she stays a minority. I'm sure she'll have a persecution complex regardless.

It still scares me that this state elected the person who is basically Santorum's replacement. :(
