That donation thing again

In one of the nastiest fights anywhere, Patty Wetterling (D) is now ahead of incumbent Michele Bachmann (R-MN)in a Republican district. It is hard to imagine two candidates who differ more than these two. Bachman is an extreme right winger and Wetterling has become an activist since her son, Jacob, was kidnapped (and is still missing).

We know a former Minnesota Republican party chair (I believe chair -- certainly higher-up) who is abandoning party lines to actively support Wetterling in this race. That's how nasty he finds Bachmann's politics.

A guy called Chuck who used to go to timprov's dad's old church. We don't know him very well, but T's dad brought him up when we were talking about the House and Senate races.
