Laura and I spent yesterday with Jack and Geri at Jack's fabulous flat in Uptown, wandering around looking for a home for a helium tank, and trying to figure out if we could really get that kewl chess set out of the Art Institute. After the Institute, we wandered over to Bob and Kathy's for take-out. For some odd reason, I had to drive back to the hotel, then we proceeded to yak away in true convention fashion until 5:15. That musta been some strong coffee Kathy serves...

We're waiting for Jack who's doing breakfast in the smoking section downstairs to come up and get the cooler. I found the missing cocktail weiners in the cooler along with an extra tub of dip. Amazing what you can find when the ice melts...

Back we go to Minneapolis, through the perilous roads of Wisconsin with Multiple Speed Traps and absolutely no cubed cheese that we could find on the way down. Cubed Cheese, Wisconsin. Seems simple, but we simply could not find it. Guess we don't need it for the way back. Marscon is a bit too far in the future yet, and with all the exposed surface areas of the cubes, well, you can just imagine.

Many speed traps, the construction zone near Madison, and it looks like some moderately heavy (low vis) snow showers between Madison and Hudson. Of course, you pr'y are on the road already and won't have net access in the car....

...but the rest stops have DTN these days :)
