The Cannes Film Festival open today. If you ain't got your tickets, you're probably not going to get into "The Da Vinci Code" which premiers there. In the old days, when foreign film still played in the US, it was great fun to read the reports from there. These days, when even the winners rarely make it across the pond, not so much.
