Great convention. Although had Andrew not checked for the king Suite, I'd be a wealthier man... He called me at work on Friday to say the suite had become available. When I got to Diversicon, we wandered between two rooms to decide which would be better for the MNSTF meeting on Saturday. The Suite was nice, very nice. I hatched on this plan to talk the hotel down, and I offered to rent it for two nights. So we decided to have a room party on Friday.
So, I had to run home and get the supplies I was going to bring over on Saturday morning, and get liquor, which was going to wait until Saturday.
Not many showed up on Friday, but some of the con people did. We had a blast and Laurel and I smoffed until about 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Woke up Saturday and had to run home to make pate, and check stocks for the main Party later that day. Ran around, cooked, cashed a check, and made it back to St. Paul by 2:15 (the party was supposed to start at 2:00).
We had a really nice room party/MNSTF meeting. Yet once again, none of the Minicon crew showed up, except for Laurel. We wuz hoping Erik or Corwin would grace us with their presence. Got to bed before 5:00.
Went out to eat with Joe, Andrew, Laurel, the guests of honor at the con and some other friends at Christos. They headed out to Sebastian Joe's, but I crawled home. Waiting for Thong to get back from Chicago.
