Taking the long view, it's only been a relatively short while -30-odd years - that our wombs haven't belonged to *somebody* else - husbands, the church, the government. So what else is new?
I'm not happy, but if this is what it takes to wake people up to the fact that the feminist revolution isn't over, so be it.
Nobody cares about my womb, because it's, erm, post-productive. I'll be there to support younger women in gaining back what they're about to lose, but they're the ones who are going to have to take the lead.
Those who do not remember (or understand) history are condemned to repeat it. I suddenly realize that I have no sympathy for the younger generation of women (present company excepted). Why should I? They certainly have no respect for our struggles and what we won for them.
