I have spent more than 36 hours in San Jose, but I was kinda busy at the time.
Off to Madtown and WFC.
36 Hours
San Jose, Calif.
By STEVE KETTMANN
SAN Jose passed San Francisco in population over a decade ago, but even though it's the high-tech capital of Silicon Valley, it still has a hard time competing for attention with its brassy, glamorous neighbor to the north. In the Bay Area itself, however, what used to feel like a rivalry no longer does. San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose have all grown together into one extended city full of interconnections, sharing liberal politics, a flair for innovation, a rich culinary tradition and a laughing disdain for the notion that the East Coast is the center of the world. And like any other part of the Bay Area, San Jose has attracted more than its share of creative oddballs who made their marks in colorful ways.
I have spent more than 36 hours in San Jose, but I was kinda busy at the time.
Off to Madtown and WFC.
