Principles of Editing

I had fun at the class today, and I learned a bit here and there. It was theoretical, which I probably enjoy more than practical.

I was unaware of some of the background studies done on film editing and the effect that it can have. Now, if I could just figure out how to use some of it... ;-)

Where are you taking these classes? Do you have any class materials I might be able to borrow/browse?

At IFP. The Principles of Editing was a one day class, which consisted mostly of explanation and viewing short video clips. He recommended one book by Murch on Editing... If I didn't have everything strewn all over the office floor, I'd look up the name of the book for you.
