PowerPoint may in fact be a decent presentation tool, but I have never, ever seen a decent - or even vaguely interesting - presentation done with it. In my experience, most PP users become masters of style over substance. And much of the time, it's fugly style.
On the bright side, it's much easier to nap through bad presentations when the lights in the room are dimmed for for the PowerPoint...
