Ten dead in Minnesota. It’s just too bad the poor kid was not able to get his hands on a proper assault rifle. Why, toting the thing to school might have tuckered him out so much that he could only kill five or ten more. He mighta dropped it when he tried to kill himself and then we coulda hung him, in public, after a proper whipping, and after just afore the fireworks, a proper drawing and quartering. It makes my heart flutter just thinking about it.

Due respect, but concluding that assault rifles aren't the problem seems at least as valid a lesson to draw.
