Feb. 22nd, 2005 01:24 pmBy a 12-1 vote on Friday, July 23 the Minneapolis City Council approved the passage of an ordinance that bans smoking in liquor and food establishments, bowling alleys and pool and billiard halls. The new law becomes effective March 31, 2005. The Minneapolis vote came three days after the City of Bloomington voted to restrict smoking in bars, restaurants and workplaces.

Date: 2005-02-22 08:08 pm (UTC)*shrug* I smoke, and I can live with it (for one thing, it's reduced the number of people who get up my nose about the habit). I do spend a good deal more of my work breaks outdoors - and far from the doorways - than I used to, though, rain or shine.
