There's little as good
Jan. 30th, 2005 06:15 amAs the thunk the Sunday paper makes when it hits the porch. First, there's the sound of a vehicle slowing as it drives past, and then, the audible thump as the paper contacts the porch. (And fortunately not the screen door which has been whacked a few too many times already by papers.) It's always wraped in a blue plastic bag, unless they run out and then they wrap it in the Stribune's bag. I'm going to go rescue it soon, just to save it from the cool and damp morning air.
