On the first day of the New Year (western style), since the days I worked in the restaurant business where every day except Christmas and New Year's Day was a workday for someone, I've been holding an open house. In honor of what most people are attempting to recover from, it's called the Hair of the Dog Party.

There will be food, fire, and three floors of fresh floors. There are tables on two floors available for gaming. No guns or shoes please.

Hope you’re having a great holiday.

I'm trying to figure out what to do about the shoes, because I really can't walk and stand around without them for hours. My knees and my back won't take it. Would your concerns be alleviated by my washing the shoes I want to wear and then changing into them after I'm inside, or is it more a matter of shoe soles on your new floors?

How about if those of us who need to wear shoes if we are going to stand around and chat bring clean plastic bags to put over said shoes? Even better - does anyone work in a hospital who could grab a dozen or so show covers from OR supply?

Hmm

I may have to reword that. I have the same problem running around without arch supports...

It's primarily to not track & scratch the floors...
