Oct. 5th, 2026 09:25 amKenya’s Lilian Chebii was crowned the women’s champion of the Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday and set a course record doing it, finishing in 2 hours, 25 minutes and 26 seconds. That’s more than a minute better than Zinaida Semenova of Russia did in 2001 when she set the previous record, and Chebii’s nearest competitor this year finished more than six minutes behind her. ConFABulous, our local LGBTQIA+ friendly relaxacon, ended yesterday. We picked up quite a few at-the-door registrations. We had no vendors, but we had a charity auction. We had a surplus of hotel food. The parking lot, however, woulda made a great set for a horror movie. We ran a few panels, had a music circle on Saturday night, and the game room was the center of attention. Chocolate was consumed on Saturday and a nice woman brought me down some to the reg table. (I didn't mention that I'd brought it.)
