Date: 2025-02-15 11:32 pm (UTC)I sent Geri Sullivan a link to an AR episode that showed some memorabilia from R101, which neither of us were familiar with, and she sent me a book on it (and the other ships of the era). The author, obviously not an airship lover, catalogs the money spent, the ships and people lost, and the general problems with airships, size being one of them. (Helium ships have to be larger than hydrogen because it has much less lift.) Idiot males also seem attracted to them for some inexplicable reason.
