This morning, I ordered a bunch of daffodils and a clutch of Colchicums. Must find big power drill and large bit, then kill all squirrels in area...

those rats with fluffy tails, will dig 'em up, take a bit out of them, and then go dig up the next one just to see if it's any better. Yes, they don't like them, but I've yet to see one that repels the little beasties.
