Back Home Again
Sep. 8th, 2004 07:17 pmFlew back from Boston dragging dead lobster and crab in sandwiches along with. I left the blinds open in the hotel despite much bitching from Miss Laura Jean. The morning was gray and foggy in Boston. We started getting ready around 7:30. We were half awake, but at the airport by 9:00. For whatever reason, it was much quicker and less costly taking the cab from the hotel to the airport than from the airport to the hotel. Still, cheaper than the limo, although quite a bit more than the subway. (We had a wee bit too much junk to carry.)
We ate at the airport in the food court. The only two sit down places wuz Legal Seafood, and a FOX News Sports Bar. (I refuse to spend money at anything labeled "FOX".)
Afterwards, I decided to do in one more lobster at Legal, and then we hopped on the plane and off for Midway.
At Midway, we foolishly accepted the gate printed on the ticket and sat and waited. David finally got up and checked the monitors and we made a hasty chase from one end of A to the other end of B. As we rushed on the plane, somebody was sitting in my assigned seat. He got up and moved to some other seat and we piled in.
Thong picked us up at the airport. While we waited for luggage, it sounded as if they paged me, but after we found the luggage, we ran out to where Thong was waiting. After we dropped
Laura Jean and David off, I put in one load of clothes and have done nothing since.
