Those pesky branches...
Jul. 29th, 2004 12:50 pmI got the branches I chopped off the mock orange bundled up last night and out on the street for garbage day (a task I’m not very good at; I’m great chopping them off, sometimes even piling them up, but the cutting to 3’, bundling, and moving to the front are not my strong suits – in my dream world, I have a chipper which would take up approximately 1/3 of my postage stamp sized yard that I throw the branches into where they’re reduced to mulch.)
Last night when I got home I moved the two big airstones in the tank downstairs to the back of the tank. (I need to pick up some more tubing….) Thong has ‘em on the side of the tank, and he’s usually got the pump off. I keep thinking it’s low on air.
Afterwards, rather than work on straightening out my office and putting stuff away, I surfed cable. While the convention is a strange attractor, a stupid SF movie on SCI-FI was stronger. I abandoned the TV shortly after Edwards got up to talk and went upstairs.
After updating Office 2003 the other day, it decided it no longer needed to connect to the internet. I suspect SP-1. I fooled around a bit trying to repair it, then, when that failed, fooled around a bit longer restoring the system to a previous point. It kept telling me it didn’t work, but something did and FrontPage and Outlook rediscovered the Internet.
Ran off to work early today for a conference call with India and the updated module that I’m going to have installed on my computer sometime any day now real soon.
