Public Fit
Jan. 25th, 2018 03:44 pmSo off we go to get some cash for Someone's trip to Asia. To a bank I've had accounts at for quite some number of years. I write a check on a brokerage account, with enough cash in the checking account to cover it. The teller asks what my occupation is. "Nothing" I say. Apparently their software won't let her enter that or "Other."
The manager comes over and asks what I used to work at, "for a federal requirement" and I said "No." They handed back the check and IDs. And we're out the door, off to another bank.
I hand the same check to the teller, who asks if I tried to cash it before. But, she took it anyway. The teller machine wouldn't take my pin number. Don't ask me why. No occupation question.
