Told the plumber to go ahead with replacing the lead pipe. Hope to have tub and sink out of my office and the sink out of the plant room by the end of next week. I've so much to unpack, drag out of corners (tons of stuff moved upstairs when we redid the second floor floors, and a bunch is still stashed in a cubby under the roof up there). Paper work is piled up on this desk. One of the filing cabinets is underneath where I can't get at it. This was all supposed to be temporary. Now, when the plumber's done, there'll still be walls to fix. Grr. It's never ending.

I've got to order the drain for the tub and supply lines if I'm going to have it plumbed back in through the floor. Why is nothing simple?

Subject lines & spam.

I'm very prone to not adding subject lines to quick e-mails, but when I sweep through the spam filtered by my domain host, I'm amazed at the subject lines that no longer work. I'm still amazed, sometimes, by the spam that gets through, but that's another story.

Mail-in rebates are evil. It's gotten to the point where a rebate is a *negative* in product selection for me. While I have managed to collect a couple this year, I've missed one important one, and it's been very annoying even on the ones I got.
