In the long ago when I still lived in NoDak there was an election with McGovern running as a Democrat for President. Now ever since the demise of the NPL, NoDak has voted for the Republican candidate for president no matter how big of a slimeball he was. I had not been happy with McGovern over his trying to highjack Bobby Kennedy's delegates to a previous convention, but I held my nose and voted for him knowing that there was no way in hell he would ever win the state. Low and behold, he did not in fact win NoDak. In fact, he got not much winning done anywhere. (I believe the route was one of the reasons Democrats modified the selection process with super delegates.) So I vowed to never again hold my nose and vote for someone I disliked.

So, if Mr. Biden decides to go pick a VP candidate that's a Republican, he can kiss ma vote goodbye. He's too old already.
