Roasted chicken with figs looks great. But 1/2 tsp citrus zest for 4 1/2 lbs of chicken? I wonder if that's a typo for 1/2 tbsp. Even so, I'd probably use more like 2 tbsp.

We just had a fig fest dinner where I roasted figs stuffed with blue cheese and figs topped with bacon. The latter is especially heavenly!
