Work and Back Again
Feb. 2nd, 2016 05:54 pmGetting to work, late, but clear roads, I drove my usual speed, let's just say the speed limit.
My big boss sent out a message around noon, saying that if we could work from home, we probably should.
The big, big, boss, who was in New York, said we should all probably leave early. Didn't take the second message to convince me.
Driving home, I think I averaged around thirty miles an hour.
Shortly before five, I went out to see if I could get the older snowblower going and blow out the driveway and the sidewalks. I was successful. Just back in with wet glasses and kinda damp. Ain't no twenty-five mile an hour wind out there, and I sure hope none arrives. I figure the snow plow will close off the driveway in a day or so. A Snow Emergency has already been declared, but there's a pattern the city follows and my little street ain't first in line.
