Day 2 at ConFusion.

Karen kicked me out of the party room where she was sleeping while I was trying to unplug the crock pots so I could take them down to my room to clean them. I think it was around 5:30. So, instead of cleaning crockpots at 5:30 Saturday morning, I hopped into bed.

Somehow, the next morning, I didn't feel very chipper, and I didn't see Karen. I did run into Catherine and Colin, and we went for lunch at the hotel restaurant. I was feeling slightly fragile and unwilling to wander outside of the hotel since we couldn't figure out what we wanted to eat or where we wanted to go. I had a beer. They didn't have espresso that I could see.

Afterwards, they wandered up to their room to do some meds, and I wandered off to the dealer's room. Sometime later that afternoon, Karen appeared. I pretty much just wandered through the dealer's room and through the art show. The art show was nice, but suffered a shortage of nekkid men. Geri, however, had a tarot deck from the guy who designed the MNSTF logo that did not suffer a shortage of nekkid men...

at some point, I went up to help clean up after the party and to help set for party #2, the MidwestCon party. I cleaned out the crockpots, which were soaking in the bathtub and the knives and spreaders that I'd brought. Hania rearranged the room and went shopping for an excellent spread. They had shrimp, smoked salmon, buffalo wings, meatballs, and hot cider, along with a host of desert items, fruit, vegies, cheese, and other things. (They'd win the best party for Saturday -- and they deserved it.) The new room arangement worked better than the night before.

We wandered down to the dance, caught the awards from the Masquerade (except the hunk with the awesomehorns wasn't there), and wandered back up. I went to the Gaylaxian party, bought some raffle tickes (all losers, of course) stopped by the room, and dozed off. Not that that's a bad thing considering our flight left early Sunday afternoon, earlier than Karen had appeared that very morning.
