So for the last month or so..

I've been getting odd calls, mostly from California. People who leave no message, or a very short message. Recently I've gotten a few from Minnesota. I took one today, which reminds me why I don't often answer the phone:

"Is Denise there?" a woman asked.

"You have the wrong number," I replied.

"Is this ### ### ####?" she asked.

"Yes," I replied.

"Is Denise there?" she asked again.

Almost as exciting as the person who drifted through the stop sign on 27th and Harriet as I was turning...

I vaguely understand the whole Learning How To Deive In The Snow Again every year.

I really don't get today's "It's spring, and the roads are try, so we're going to Learn How To Drive On Dry Pavement" I kept encountering.

I suppose Minnesota drivers roll through stop signs regardless of the season.

Since I moved into this house (over 10 years ago!), I've been receiving occasional phone calls, mostly from bill collectors, asking for Daniel Carlson. The weirdest one, though, was when people were calling my number to ask me to buzz them in to their building. I can't recall if that was part of the Daniel Carlson thing or not; thankfully, that one has stopped entirely.

The previous people living here weren't named Carlson, and I think they were the original owners. Is weird.
