I stayed home from work and took a sick day. I didn't do much, but took a nap, and apparently drank too much coffee.

Around four or so in the am, a tweet went by from a science fiction author about a Swedish built tool for producing kindling outta wood. Now had the name not been the same as a man's name connected with Abba, it might have been easier to search for on my phone, but search I did and found some prices in England and in Germany. The store I found it in in England didn't list the US as a shipping destination, but the store in Germany did. The store in Germany was also cheaper, though not by much.

At some point, I shot an email off to the company in Sweden that makes the tool, and heard the phone ring on in bed in the bedroom, but didn't think anything of it. It was, of course, the company in Sweden calling I figured out later. I also received an email from them, listing the price they would ship it out in USD. Of course, the SF writer lives in Canada. The email stated that they were looking for a distributer in North America, and did I have any ideas?

Did I have any ideas? Of course! I sent him links to the American Swedish Institute, Ingebretsen's, and a fireplace store that carries high-end Swedish stoves. Not that any of them would probably be interested, but that they might know companies that distribute Swedish stuff.

I converted most of the messages into Twitter sized chunks at sent them out into the Twitterverse. I gotta thank you back from the author.

The tool's price is more of a Nieman Marcus spot or maybe the ASI's store.

I think I slept somewhere in there between 4:30 and 8:30, but I introduced Jason B-S to a friend as Josh while walking down the stairs to grab lunch.
