I never get around to seeing most of the movies I actually think would be fun/interesting to see in the theaters, why should I go out of my way to see this? If the poor film industry would stop targeting 18-24 yo males (and recycling 30-yo material), I might have some sympathy for them ....

Too true!

The number of people with their undies in a bundle over people refusing to spend money on OSC is spectacular.

Hey, NY Times Guiz - the concept of economic boycotts is, as you point out, to get people to stop doing things. This one is to stop giving OSC money that he could well route into more miserably anti-human efforts; he's done it before. It's to let OSC know that he's no longer the mainstream.

None of his precious First Amendment rights are being violated. Nor is he being censored. *eyeroll at Straight White Guy misinterpretations of no longer being Mistaken For God*

It's grassroots democracy via economic social action.

You'd think the NY Times would understand. Whatever.

Another fine piece on why the New York Times is such a shitty newspaper struggling to keep the few readers they have left. I like the ironic way in which the article was written. Very informative and funny at the same time.

I saw your post and thought "hmm... Chicken sandwich sounds good..." I figured you were doing free association or something.

What a dumb editorial. This is capitalism at it's best. Don't like it? Don't pay for it.
