I found two of them blooming outside of Jones-Harrison.

It is probably a double colchicum, a type of fall blooming bulb. I am not familiar with the variety pictured here since I've never planted either autumn crocus or the much larger colchicums, but I've heard of them.

I found a decent article on fall blooming bulbs (http://www.diynet.com/diy/gf_annuals_perennials/article/0,2029,DIY_13831_2277310,00.html) by googling.

It looks like it might be an autumn crocus to me. The size and colour match what's in my own garden, but mine doesn't have the split petals. Perhaps it's another variety.

More information at http://biotech.icmb.utexas.edu/botany/acrohst.html or http://www.herbs2000.com/herbs/herbs_autumn_crocus.htm
