lsandersonSomebody sez you can now take a car to the Rice Farm. There's a new bridge not far from his sister's husband's house. It ustta be you'd leave the car at the village, take the ferry across, and then take a motorcycle to the Rice Farm. The motorcycles can cross the pedestrian bridges that cross the canal. Or else you just rented a boat at the village and it dropped you off at the stairs to the Rice Farm. Ain't progress wonderful!

Date: 2013-04-14 03:49 pm (UTC)Ironically, due to financial woes in Illinois, state infrastructure is crumbling, and a bridge being out (perhaps forever), it is now much more difficult to take a car to my parents house.
