Colin Baker, the Sixth Doctor from the British sci-fi classic DOCTOR WHO will appear in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday December 5 at a fundraiser for Iowa Public Television (which has been showing Doctor Who for thirty years).

yeah, I'm quite impressed by the Iowa Public Television station for keeping it on so long, when most of the other stations (including TPT) have found it too expensive, especially once you could easily get them on video tape (and now, slowly, on DVD).

I've seen Colin a handful of times, including this year, so I almost certainly won't head out there for that, but it's still nice.
